Here is a crochet afghan I made for my sister's son.

I use Caron Simply soft for all baby afghans. Machine washable and beautiful colors and soft.

Faina's scarf

This was my first lace. I won some black alpaca silk and had to make it. I understood how knitting worked after making this scarf. It clicked. Though knitting is slow for me. Right now making a red one out of frog tree alpaca. Don't know who it's for yet.

Pattern: Faina's scarf from Fibertrends
Yarn: Blue Sky Alpaca & silk yarn 3.5 hanks in black

I also crochet. My favorite is blankets. I've made one for most members of my family and any new babies in the family always get one.

Just started the diagonal crochet afghan for my cousin, who's wife is do anytime now.

Kimono shawl

Here is the Kimono shawl from folk shawls.

Pattern: Folk Shawls book
Yarn: Rowan Dongel discontinued 13.5 hanks of 100 yds/25g wool
size: 35in by 74 in blocked

Blocking this was a pain. I could not get it straight and the garter stitch border can be blocked longer then actual pattern. Maybe just too new at blocking.

It looks fine wearing it and was really a nice easy knit after a couple of repeats. It was fun and probably going to my mom. Now to make some for myself.

Excuse the bad hair and unwoven ends.
