Two Shawls

I love knitting lace. It is really addicting. So I went to a not so local yarn store, Janet Kemp, and got 2 skeins of Cherry Hill tree sock yarn in solid purple. These are both gifts but going to make one for myself. The only bad part was that one skein of the yarn got me 4 balls. The skein had been cut. So just rolling the balls took a lot of patience and frustration.

The first one is Shetland Triangle from wrap style.

Pattern: Shetland Triangle from Wrap Style
Yarn: Cherry tree hill solid purple 370 yards, probably only used 340 yards
Time: Took me like 2.5 weeks to knit. Love the pattern.
Recipient: Liz's birthday gift

Pattern: Swallowtail Shawl from Interweave fall 2006
Yarn: Cherry tree hill solid purple 370 yards, probably only used 340 yards
Time: Took me like 3.5 weeks to knit. Love the pattern, but the first chart was tedious.
Recipient: Kathy's birthday gift

I'm going to make the swallowtail shawl in Lorna's Lace Shepard sock vera for myself. Hopefully I end up keeping it. And I have a varigated version of the cherry tree hill yarn which I'm going to use to make Shetland Triangle. The shetland triangle is first after my other projects are finished.
